Disclaimer: This document is not legal advice. Have a qualified attorney review it before publication, especially if you distribute in the EU, UK, California, or other jurisdictions with strong privacy laws, or if you later add accounts, analytics, advertising, or backend services.

1. Summary

This app helps you read poetry attributed to Hafez and take a traditional “faal” by choosing a poem at random from text stored inside the app. We designed the app so that we do not ask you to create an account and we do not intentionally collect personal information through the app for our own use.

2. Information the app processes

Content you see in the app

Poem text and related presentation data are included in the app when you install it. Opening poems or using the faal feature does not send your choices to our servers in the current version of the app, because the app does not use our backend for that.

Information we do not intentionally collect

In the current version, we do not intentionally collect:

If this changes in a future update, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent or provide other legally required notices.

3. Local storage on your device

Like many mobile apps, the app and its frameworks may store small amounts of data on your device (for example, preferences or cache) so the app can run correctly. That data stays on your device unless you delete the app or clear app data through your device settings.

4. Third parties and open-source software

The app is built with Expo, React Native, and other open-source libraries. Those components run on your device as part of the app. They may process technical data needed for the app to function (for example, depending on your build, fonts may be loaded in ways that involve third-party services—verify your shipping configuration).

App stores

When you download or update the app, Apple or Google may collect information according to their own policies (for example, purchase and device-related data). We do not control that processing.

5. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have received such information, contact us at the address above and we will take appropriate steps.

6. Security

We protect our distribution channels and development practices with reasonable care. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. International users

If you use the app outside the United State of America, your information may be processed in your country or where our processors operate, as permitted by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information, or to object or port data. Because this version of the app is designed not to send personal data to us, there may be little or nothing for us to access on our systems. You can still contact us with questions or requests.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when we change the app or the law requires it. We will post the new policy with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy, unless applicable law requires a different process.
